Does the SAP IT Industry need International Standards for the Practice of SAP IT

Hi All,

Many mature and professional industries have recognised international standards for their practice.

Examples are:    

     . Medicine    

     . Accountancy    

     . Law    

     . Auditing etc

Hence the question, does the SAP IT industry need an international standard for the practice of SAP IT ?
