The benchmark tools need some environment variables to be set on all systems, on the benchmark driver
as well as on every application and database server. The benchmark driver does not need the same
number of parameters as the application and database server(s). But it is recommended to maintain all
parameters for both machines.
Unix, Linux
The <simuser> needs some environment variables to be set. The files <SIMDIR>/doc/cshrc or
<SIMDIR>/doc/kshrc can be used as an example for .cshrc or .kshrc if you are using the csh, ksh or bash.
Add the content of these files to the existing .cshrc or .kshrc files on the servers. For other shells, you have
to adapt the profile. In the files you can find some detailed information about the needed environment
variables.
in benchmark driver i should add the content of The files <SIMDIR>/doc/cshrc or<SIMDIR>/doc/kshrc to
the application and database server. but my OS is suse11.2 in /home/user is bash file. how do i deal with it ?
