I apologize if this is not the correct space - the question came to me from our Cost Accounting department, and I couldn't think if a better spot to put it on here.
We are a manufacturer. Most of our product is engineer-to-order (Projects). However, we occasionally sell small parts through the standard Sales Order.
When we do that, we can not figure out where our engineering department can charge their time. In a Project type sales order they can charge it to the network and activity. On a standard Sales Order we can't find anything similar.
Can anyone help?
