We are currently seeking a Report Developer/Data Analyst in our organization. As a member of our team, you will conduct various data discovery exercises and provide analysis results to internal clients. You will also develop reports as required using Business Objects. Candidate would also assist business users with various data and report development related issues for simple reports users try to develop on their own. The individual must have an excellent understanding of databases, data analysis, business intelligence concepts, and general understanding of data warehouses/datamarts. Candidate will serve also serve as a liaison between business and IT teams to provide additional services from IT team to the business users.
Job specifications:
• Work with the business to understand needs, capture requirements, create report prototypes/finished reports, and recommend solutions that meet the needs of the business.
• Apply knowledge of the business intelligence environment and capabilities to solve business problems based on data analysis/reporting.
• Assist business users with ad-hoc report construction using the Business Objects toolset.
• Provide internal clients complex ad-hoc analysis and reports via the consumer data mart and other related data sources.
• Balance business requirements, database enhancements, data analysis effort and cost when creating reports.
• Provide customer, product, volume, revenue analytics based on transaction history.
• Develop and Maintain standards for, and consistency in Report Development
• Provide End User Training for Web Intelligence Users
• Perform Troubleshooting for End User Report Issues
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field such as: Information systems, Business, or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant data warehouse and business intelligence experience, preferably in financial services industry.
• Strong understanding ability to write SQL
• Ability to design and maintain Business Objects Web Intelligence reports.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with the business in gathering report requirements and in assisting with testing.
• Strong analytical skills used for investigating/explaining data discrepancies in reports and attention to detail.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Ability to effectively communicate numerical data, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to continuously organize and prioritize high volume of ongoing and new tasks
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
