Hi ,

As the name suggests Non-Cumulative means, it should not be added up . These are specifically marked as Non cumulatives based on the requirement.

In order to track the field values based on calday, we mark them as Non cumulative,

For example --> Daily opening stock and closing stock ( its based on movements posted ).

Imagine - Day 1  . Opening Stock -  0

                           Stock mocement IN  - 10 .

                          Closing stock - 10

   Day 2  -- Opening  stock - 10

                    Stock mocement IN --> 5

                    Stock mocement OUT -> 10

                Closing Stock --> 5

for Day 1 & 2

By assiging KF as Non cumulative and maintaining as ( Inflow / Outflow)  in the info object ( Aggregation tab) . this info object calculates the Opening stock and closing stock and saved in the DSO/Cube based on the movements of stock.

Day 3 --> No Movements posted.

...

For Day 3 there are no postings made..

So when you run your query for Day 3 ,What should you expect ?

   0 ?   It should be Opening stock 5 & closing stock 5 .

where there are no postings. How does the system calculate its values??

These cases will be taken care by defining the KF as Non cumulative.

Hope you understand.Now if you read the documents you can understand the concept better.

Rgds,
Sudhir
