Do this:

1. Create a DUMMY selection, let's call it DUMMY_SEL..

2. Insert your CALDAY and any keyfigure in that selection..

3. Create a filter for CALDAY, let's call it ZDAY_RANGE..

General Tab

Processing By: MANUAL INPUT/DEFAULT VALUE

Details Tab

Variable Represents: INTERVAL

Variable Is: MANDATORY

4. In the FILTER tab of query designer, drag the ZBEGDAT and ZENDDAT fields..

5. Create a filter for ZBEGDAT, let's call it ZSTART..

General Tab

Processing By: REPLACEMENT PATH

Replacement Path Tab

Replace Variable With: VARIABLE

Variable: ZDAY_RANGE

Use Interval: FROM VALUE

6. Create a filter for ZENDDAT, let's call it ZEND..

General Tab

Processing By: REPLACEMENT PATH

Replacement Path Tab

Replace Variable With: VARIABLE

Variable: ZDAY_RANGE

Use Interval: TO VALUE

You can now run your report..
