Re: BusinessObjects 4.0 reporting on top of SAP SSM 10

Sergi,

We have not yet implemented any live yet as are still exploring the performance questions.

Interesting to see your ideas and the reports you have been developing on top of SSM. Certainly you demonstrate the capabilities of putting WebI/Crystal over SSM very well.

Why did you choose to go the route of creating separate reports for reports for individuals rather than creating filters on the scorecrd by that user and then using the Mark this page function to generate the link you can send to the user?

Maybe my philosophy is to encourage people to view the whole picture i.e. to go into SSM so that it becomes a living dynamic system rather than extract data from SSM so that that data risks being seen in isolation.

With SP06 the Briefing Book seems to work more effectively so that you can use this to pull information together.

I would echo your comments about the current SSM 10 reporting - much weaker and less useful that the Reports and Dashboards in SSM 7.5 which are still available in SSM 10 if you set the properties for the Legacy reports but again without the Mark this page function so it is harder for users to reference them. (see my request in the Ideas place!) Let's see what the 'Enriched reporting and dashboard functions' in the roadmap brings. SAP_EPM_roadmap_2013_slide_15_SSM.jpg

The customer we are working with currently are planning to use CitizenInsight to deliver information on performance to their staff who don't have access to SSM and this is something that I think will develop further.

Regards

Colin Cooper
