1. Though your specific case does not look convincing, you know better about your requirements. So you need to configure a Catalog-profile with the said set of (special list) Damages and causes etc and assign it to the XYZ equipment.
2. About why I said not convincing is that in case you have equipments identical to XYZ what will be the catalog profile there. If you say it will be different, then I am sure we are going incorrect way. This is because, in such case it clearly shows that it is not the equipment which is causing the breakdowns, it the process/operating practices/other factors which are causing the equipment malfunction.
