[Posting Period - Period Indicator] , 'Field cannot be updated (ODBC -1029)' [Message 131-183]

Hi

I am trying to change period indicator field in the posting periods screen, but while clicking update I am getting the following error,

[Posting Period - Period Indicator] , 'Field cannot be updated (ODBC -1029)'  [Message 131-183]

kindly help me with the issue
