Connection HANA - Hadoop /w Spark gets no data

Hello,

I have a HANA on Rev. 10 and in parallel a Hortonworks Hadoop Sandbox 2.3.2 where I installed SAP HANA Spark Controller 1.5.0 according to the attachment of note 2177933. I can create a remote source in HANA for Hadoop and I can create virtual tables. So this connection seems to work.

However I do not get any data. If I execute the SELECT statement on the virtual table not much happens: A look into /var/log/hanaes/hana_controller.log shows

In time more and more new entries [Stage 0:>   (0+0) / 2 ] get created. If one checks the sessions in the HANA admin perspective one sees that the session is connected to a thread with a semaphore wait:

I tried both SAP HANA Spark Controller 1.5.0 and 1.5.5 but both of them show the same behavior.
