Ok, we will try another check. Because depreciation calculation depends on lots of factors and we don't know which one is missing.
Check if weighting of periods is activated for the depreciation area by any chance. You can check in trans OAYL. In case it is activated, then you need to provide weights in trans OA85 or remove the activation in trans OAYL.
Also check if you are getting any error message while trying to view depreciation area 05 in asset explorer or while comparing the depreciation calculation between leading depreciation area 01 and depreciation area 05.
