Hi Aryan

One thing is I don't want to implement HR module ...... what can be the work around in that case ?

... Design your g payroll posting in such a manner that salaray & other employee benefits (GL a/cs/CE) during payroll run posted to respective deptts/CCtr ( service & production)

So..tracking will be done department wise and then allocate costs from all deptts/cctrs to prod deptts/cctrs

Now in reply to what Ajay has told..regarding prod cost centers..

  1. I have considered Heating & Blending as WC within the manufacturing units of products

  2. Suppose I produce product A ..so it first will be processed Heating and then going to Blending. So these 2 are considered as WCs within manufacturing Unit of product A

  3. First WC will not capture any cost (activity) if not required (PP guy will set it) and finally only at WC Blending will be confirmed activity (Dir Lab/Ind Lab/Oth opr Cost) as total hrs of activity so that at the product lev we will separate activity cost with a simple process

4. Regarding tracking of expenses at individual prod deptts A/B/C etc to be done if you want PC report at each product level PC as per your requirement. You can't get it if you design Heating and Blending as prod CCtr.

I have implemented 3 big steel manufacturing process where same process was across the products.

First Heating at Furnace (WC)/No activity cost captured but if you want can do then Rolling process for SFG/FG materials (W/C) with activity cost for the Product.

    I suggested on my experience.
