Re: certificate profiles

Hi GS,

Please can you confirm what is the main difference between the ProdOrd goods receipt inspection (Insp type 04) batch Vs Delivery Inspection batch (Insp type 10)? Are you checking any special inspection MIC for the 2nd case? What are they?

For most of the cases, if the GR batch is delivered to your customer, then my experience says that Quality certificate should be triggered only for GR tested batch. For any specific enhancements [For example, you need some special FDA regulatory text to be printed for specific materials under material type, etc], you can do some enhancement with the print program, and get your other relevant details for the standard COA profile. May be you can try the following -

Option 1:

a) For example, your GR batch has 10 batch characteristics. You can link 5 MIC with first 5 Batch characteristics, which would be updated form GR inspection with inspection type 04.

b) For the remaining 5 batch characteristics, you can link it with MIC's added to the inspection plan for inspection type 10.

c) Once you do GR for ProdOrd, inspection lot of insp type 04 created. You perform Result recording, close inspection results to MIC status "5", put UD = A or "R".

d) At this point of time, only 5 MIC value result recorded should have been flicked to the GR batch.

e) when your do delivery process, your new inspection lot of insp type 10 is created. You repeat the result recording process [MIC status = "5"] and you perform UD = A or R.

f) The remaining 5 MIC's are also recorded and updated in the same Batch Number.

g) Now while creating Outbound QC, you can use QC22 and create the QC against the GR batch for the material, and choose recipient accordingly.

Option 2:

It's true that you can't have two inspection lot origins in the certificate profile to pick the MIC's form different inspection lots. If that being the case, you should try custom certification process.

Thanks,

Arijit
