Job chain step to be skipped

Hello,

We have job chains where a specific step needs to run only in CPS prod. If we run this chain in CPS QA, this specific step should be skipped or ignored. Please suggest how can we achieve this. If we use the final status handlers, job configuration is not in sync in Prod and QA.
